Th...Hmm... this draws even more of my dilemma out.<br /><br />The only authority I trust is God Himself. Yet He is content to not show me the full picture, often not showing me anything at all (especially at first). Thus I am left with uncertainty and must go on assumptions...<br /><br />I have heard often in the last 2 years (especially from my friend Ted Wueste), "Certainty is the opposite [enemy?] of faith."<br /><br />Is my dilemma the realization that I'm not God (specifically the part where He is the source/designer/designator of truth)? And that I'm trying to be or trying to come up with a facsimile of Him that I can call on-demand? An a...My two cents with little time to contemplate:<br />An assumption is what you hold as the truth and can be held independent of the actual truth. While the "truth" is the truth based off of an outside authority making it so, or verifying it to be so.<br /><br />Maybe?<br /><br />Perhaps if it is a person thinking a thought it is always an assumption until an authority validates it as truth (or unless that individual is the authority).Chris M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/07209308992642343232noreply@blogger.com
